Comparison of Smartphone Users Based Operating System

There are two ways to look at the share of smartphone users, which is based on sales data and based on the use of operating systems (mobile OS). Here will be reviewed data collected from the StatCounter to determine the number of users of smartphones based on operating system. StatCounter tracks based internet access, so it will reduce the pattern of similarity based on IP Address smartphone. Reviews will be divided into several groups, namely users around the world and Asia.

BlackBerry is a type of smart phone or smartphone that is operated by using the operating system (or OS mobile operating system). Just like the computer, the operating system will manage the overall management of data, applications, and functions as well as features of the smartphone. BlackBerry OS including OS type space, such as the Windows Mobile OS and iOS (iPhone), SymbianOS, and so forth. The only one that uses only open platform Android (Google). Here will be reviewed data from the period March 2011 to June 2012 from GlobalStat StatCounter.



World Smartphone Users
Users SymbianOS (Nokia) that originally controlled the number of users began to experience a drastic decline seen since March 2012, even look at the graph below Android and iOS users since April 2012. IOS users (iPhone) originally had declined since January 2012 began to rise in the month of August 2011 to June 2012. Android users look steadily increasing trend from March 2011 to June 2012. The position of the number of Android users look bigger than iOS in April 2012. Since March 2011 (and previous periods), BlackBerry OS user trends continue to show a downward trend in the level of the world, even far below the Series 40 in June 2012.

Smartphone Users Asia
Having previously experienced fluctuations, the number of users SymbianOS (Nokia) started showing a downward trend since December 2011. Although steadily declining, the number of users SymbianOS still higher than the users of other mobile operating systems hinga June 2012. The number of Android users in Asia still mmperlihatkan rising trend throughout the period up to June 2012. iOS (iPhone) are less likely to get a prominent place in Asia where the number of users of iOS charts in Asia looks fluctuated below the number of users of Samsung OS.

Surprisingly enough, Series 40 could exceed the number of users of Android, Samsung, or iOS since March 2012. Regarding the number of users of BlackBerry OS looks steadily declining trend since June 2011 to May 2012 in which only a relatively low increase in June 2012. You could say the number of users the BlackBerry OS in Asia are still far below SymbianOS, Android, Samsung, and iOS.
